Latest pictures mid-November 2007. Some progress pictures showing how the everything looks now. It was hoped that the roof would have arrived by now, and that the windows were also on site, but unfortunately things are running a little behind.

The door to the left will be the new internal kitchen door, the right hand door (behind the wall) will be for the services cupboard. The two new toilets will also be situated in the area behind the wall. |
This is the same new kitchen area, but taken from the external doorway. The old dining room will have a suspended ceiling to match the height of the beam (where the French doors used to be), and all the ventilation and extraction ductwork will be routed in the void. |

Looking from the new external kitchen door (next to the fire exit to the back lawn) towards Patteson Room. The store-room for the dining room will be situated in this area - from the wall end ahead.. |
This is all that there is at the moment of the two new toilets. |

The old "boot room" will form the new corridor access to the dining room and toilets. The far end wall and door will be removed to widen the entrance. |
The back wall of the dining room, this will have a drop-down screen. There will be a ceiling mounted projector linked to a multi-media pc aimed at this. |

This view is looking back from the back wall out through where the windows will be! Once completed the vista from here will be impressive - down past the abseil tower to the right, and to the left across to the cut. |
The terrace is now awaiting the final layer, which will be sealed gravel. Owing to the curved shape, the number of inspection covers and lighting it was decided not to use paving slabs. |

This is the post that supports the large Glulam beam - the roof joists can be seen in this picture. |
Another large post supports the cross beam. With the best part of two walls being windows these beams and posts were needed to take the weight of the green roof. |
