Feast for FundsThe Dining Room, or Oxfordshire Room, has long been identified as an area of Hautbois urgently requiring attention. We can accommodate 39 people in our lovely bedrooms, but sadly cannot easily feed that number due to the size of our Dining Room. Whilst the room itself is beautiful, with its stripped floors, grand fireplace and large windows overlooking the back lawn, to meet the future needs of the House and our guests we are looking to develop this area whilst maintaining all that is great at Hautbois.
In order to fulfil our dream we are asking that our friends and supporters hold a "Feast for Funds" to help raise the money. The idea is to hold a feast - be it a breakfast, luncheon, tea, barbecue or banquet - for your friends, no matter how large or small the gathering! When the invitations are sent out you include a Feast for Funds leaflet and a Gift Aid envelope (supplies of these are available from the Anglia Region Office at the address below), asking them to make a Feasting Fee towards the Hautbois Dining Room Fund. The amount of the Fee can either be set in advance according to the size of the event, or simply be left to the guests to choose how much to donate. If they also elect to Gift Aid the donation the Fund benefits by a further 28p for every pound given, courtesy of The Inland Revenue. At the end of the feast you can challenge your guests to hold their own event, so helping to raise money for our Dining Room here can be great fun too.
